    The Film was an enormous box-office success. The distribution price was 3 crore per territory in India. The box office collection was 48.93 crore and gross was about 69.25 crore in 2003.The Overseas collection was $6, 80,979 in USA and $6,40,796 in UK. Total of Overseas revenue was $11,496,860.

     The Film won 3 national awards and 12 film fare awards. Overall it won 18 awards out of 20 nominations and was huge box-office success.

     The producer of the film also adopted brand extension strategy by making sequel of this film named “KRRISH”. It was a super-hero based film and was released in 2006.

     Various other Hindi Television Channels like Doordarshan, Sony and Star-Plus ventured in science based genre hoping that they will make profit after huge success of this film. “J Bole to Jadu” was the first serial made on Nickelodeon channel made imitating from the alien character in film Koi Mil Gaya.
